Alright. Well i’ve been dying my hair for many years and never had a problem before. I would always go to salons and recently just this summer since we started getting less money due to my mom losing her job i started using boxes. I wanted to be part of a trend “porn star blonde hair” so i bleached it or went up to an 11 blonde shade(extra light blonde). I am naturally blonde so the first time it hit the right colour so i didn’t really have to redo it like many girls i know. I did notice the bottom being darker so i decided to redye the bottom once i did my roots again. I started using L’oreal Dream blonde kit. I died my hair that light blonde in the ending of August(but i already had my hair dyed not long ago previous to the dye which ya i know was dumb, but i really didn’t know better since hair stylists usto always give me a time limit but never told me what would happen if i did it earlier). By the middle of september i redid my roots and redyed the bottom. Then AGAIN i decided why not re-do my roots by the end of september. My hair was so dry after that like it wasn’t even funny. I really didn’t understand what was going on though because i don’t know how often you can and can’t dye your hair. My bottom started to break off. Only about 2 small sections broke off underneath. Luckily because my hair still looks fine. I stopped dying the roots and i quickly started doing deep conditioning treatments. I noticed an improvement, but for some reason my hair was still thinning. I went to a doctor and to my suprise she told me blood tests proved i had low iron levels so that was a contributer to my hair loss. After iron supplements my hair was finaly much stronger. I’ve also been adding a lot of veggies and fruits in diet.
Its been a little over a month since i’ve dyed even my roots and i really don’t want to have to re use this gay colour ever again. I’m naturally blonde and i found some pictures online that are very close to my natural hair colour. I was thinking in a week or two i’ll go down to a high end salon and get it trimmed and dyed to my natural so i don’t have to keep the bleach blonde colour re dyig. I just think the bleach ate my hair and the boxed dye sucked.
Current hair: Much less hair breaking. Hair growing getting fuller and stronger. & finally i don’t see chunks of hair in my brushes anymore.
ADVICE PLEASE!
do a strand test to see if your hair can withstand it or it will be EXTREMELY bad for your hair.
rip out a strand of hair and put it in a glass of water..make sure its not touching the sites or anything and give it about 3 minutes if it floats its fine to dye your hair but if it sinks don’t dye!
Honestly,BLEACHING the hair is the most damaging to do whether at a salon or out of the box. I’d NOT get that done further. Be happy with the shade you have naturally or add lemon juice and go in the sun to naturally have it lighten once the hair is strong enough. Even using lemon juice and a hair dryer a little can help. Continue to keep it conditioned and don’t do the haircoloring any time soon. Tell a stylist when you last did that or you can end up with a hair loss problem beyond what you have run into now. You need to let the hair rest a bit and just not make this more fragile if you want to keep the hair you have. You can also call the experts that are listed on the package pamphlet that you bought with the home kit. They have the number to call with any questions listed on this. OR look it up online how to contact them, describe what happened and see what they recommend.
I think that before everything was alright because you had it done by a Professional. But again, Dying your hair damages your hair.
And its a sacrafice but I think you should not dye your hair as much.
Thats just insane lol.
I wish i can change my hair color….
Im just sticking with lemon juice for now :\
Wait a couple months, then go have it redyed professionally your natural colour. chop the dead off. It may be a little short, but it will look much healthier. That’s pretty much your only option.. is to dye and chop.
You are right go to the salon and go back to your hair color but wait at least to more weeks. you have learned a lot about high end blonde’s we do every 4 to 6 weeks no closer then that. but I am from an old school of hairdresser the secret is mayonnaise put it through your hair leave on for 20 minutes and put a cap on it it will help but you won’t want to go anywhere for a day or so make hair a little greasy but it works and help your ends and the hair shaft good luck
Alright… I have found out recently that when people get box color they think that they are actually dying their hair blonde. News Flash… you are bleaching it because they make that for everyone. Bleach disperses molecules in the hair shaft… the lighter the color of the hair=the less amount of molecules to fill it=weaker hair. So that box dye that was blonde… it is bleach. The number two rule of hair color is to never bleach over hair that had already been bleached… this causes breakage. You need to go to a beauty supply store that sells to the public like Sally’s (or online. Get the color that you want (the exact color) and mix it with a ten volume developer that you will also get at the store. Rinse it out with cool water. Condition with a good conditioner like Biolage fortifying… leave this in 5-10 minutes and use heat if you can (blow dryer works fine). Then wash it out with cool water. Doing this will seriously repair the condition of your hair… I know that it is a little investment but that conditioner will save you! Biolage fortifying.
DONT GET IT DYED AGAIN! just let it grow out into ur natural color. it will be much more healthier and will have no risk of your hair going back to that state or breakage and thinning. You may think it looks weird to grow out your hair into the natural color but just DO IT. trust me you will be glad u let it grow out!
ok I dye my hair a lot and so do my girls sometimes i dye my hair and it’s the wrong color so i dye it the same day and my hair is just fine why its so fine is because the Secret is to use maynaise put in your hair put a plastic bag and a warm towel around it then leave it on for one hour then rinse I sometimes use an egg with it. but since you said that your hair is breaking off I would go out and get an avocado add Little water and blend it up in a blender after peeling it and taking the seeds out then after making it pliable then put it on your hair do the same as i mentioned above you well see a marvelous change
to your hair do this once a week for awhile then when your hair feels different then then 1 a month do the treatment with maynaise
your hair seams to dry fast so then you take any conditioner put a little in a spray bottle with alot of water then spray it on your hair while you sleep then it give a vitamin oh make sure your get the ones with vitamin e in it and if you take vitamin e your hair will grow and be strong
oh yes stimulate your scalp by brushing your hair alot now believe me this all works look at my hair and i dye it all the time
