Women may experience hair fall or thinning of hair. If you have telogen effluvium then you will experience hair loss. Certain enzymes in male and female are genetically predisposed to hair fall. It is known as 5-alpha reductase enzyme. This enzyme coverts the testosterone hormone into another hormone known as DHT or dihydrotestosterone. This dihydrotestosterone gets attached to the hair lobe on the top of the head. This further weakens the hair follicle damaging the hair growth with every hair growth cycle. Your hair grows thinner day by day and leads to baldness. Hair loss products such as Propecia and Minoxidil medications are approved and can be used for hair treatment safely and effectively. These medications fight DHT effectively and promote hair growth.

Hormonal problems are common in woman. Such imbalance in hormones will lead to hair fall. Treating hormonal problems will inturn treat your hair fall problems too. Menopause can also cause hormonal imbalance and hair loss. With the reduction of menopause symptoms, you can see positive changes in your hair condition. Consult your doctor for products to treat your menopause symptoms.

Cancer victims are often subjected to cancer treatment known as chemotherapy. This is so strong that it affects your hair condition. However, you can restore good hair condition soon after the chemotherapy ends. Females are more prone to stress both physical as well as mental. Learn to control stress naturally through yoga and meditations then there is no need for hair loss products.

If meditation does not work for you, then you are not suffering from hair problems due to stress. The cause might be something else which can be treated with good hair products. Finding the right product for your hair might be a harrowing experience. Reach hair loss specialist and they can suggest you the right one.

Saw Palmetto and Nettle are said to promote new hair growth. These are herbal products which act effectively to restore good hair condition. Provillus is a good product that is completely natural and considered to be among the best hair fall products for females. LaserComb helps to promote hair loss stabilisation and regrowth and is particularly beneficial when used as part of a combination treatment course consisting of the primary medications for hair loss. Natural vitamins, minerals and herbs have proven to work in the regrowth of hair naturally and stops baldness from happening. Reach out for natural products to treat your hair conditions!

Lets face it, the prospect of losing one’s hair is the stuff nightmares are made of for both men and women. Did you ever think that at the age of just 25 you’d be losing your hair? I sure didn’t, yet there I was still a young male in the prime of my life, and when I looked into the mirror all I could see was my receding hairline.

I even remember worrying about losing my hair in my early teens, my parents kept telling me not to worry I just had a “ high forehead”. A high forehead, what is that? It’s your parent’s way of trying to assure you your not losing your hair, but I remember my grandfather he was bald as a plucked chicken!

I was resigned to the fact that I would most probably lose my hair. I was determined to fine a natural remedy for hair loss. It was killing me, sometimes I couldn’t sleep at night I tried to imagine what I’d look like balding or totally bald, and it wasn’t a pretty picture.

Did you know that its is estimated that 40% of men will have noticeable thinning of their hairline by the age of 35, at age 60 it jumps to 65%.

I really decided I needed to find a solution to my hair loss, I knew I didn’t have the estimated $10,000 for hair replacements and that might not even be the full cost of the procedure, in some cases the cost can be much higher!

Well what about a rug? A hairpiece, some of the really good ones can set you back a few hundred bucks. But have you really looked at those things? More then half the time it looks like some kind of marmoset died on your head. They say hairpieces are 100% undetectable, yah right come on guys you know what I’m talking about. We can tell when another guy is sporting a rug, and if we can tell you can bet the ladies can see that rug too! Imagine your embarrassment the next morning if you happen to leave it over, yikes sorry not my idea of a solution!

So if not surgery and no rugs, what was I to do, I searched the net and I found a huge assortment of hair products out there. Most of the information is confusing or contradicts itself. I found one product online that will remain nameless; this product is kind of like that hair in a drum Homer Simpson buys in his hair loss episode. Any hair grow is purely accidental, this products web site suggests you should ignore scientific research and FDA approvals in favour of their $19.95 hair in a drum product. All I can say in this case is buyer beware; you get what you pay for.

Established research has shown that 95% of hair loss in both men and women is caused by a condition called androgenetic alopecia. This is simply an inherited sensitivity to the effects of androgens (male hormones). The specific hormone combination linked to the majority of hair loss is DHT or Dihydotestosterone. This DHT essentially starves the hair follicle of the proper proteins, vitamins and minerals, and shortens the growing phase of the hair follicles.

DHT is also responsible for shrinking of the hair follicles; the hair follicle gets shorter and finer and ultimately falls out. Additionally DHT also produces a waxy substance that accumulates around the hair roots; it is this accumulation of waxy substance that gives rise to female and male pattern baldness.

Studies have shown that a natural remedy for hair loss containing either of the drugs Propecia or Minoxidil DO in fact work to stop thinning and to re-grow some of the loss.

These two compounds are the ONLY products clinically tested and approved by the FDA to treat hair thinning and re-grow loss.

I will not suggest that a natural remedy for hair loss is for everyone, nor will I suggest that it will work in all cases of thinning, in some cases of hair loss deeper issues are at work and a full evaluation from your doctor maybe necessary. But I think you owe it to yourself to explore all the options open to attack that loss of hair.

Regardless of whether you have short or long hair, keeping up with it can be a tough task. Great hair requires proper maintenance of hair ends, proper moisture levels, deep conditioning, shampooing, and conditioning. That is why it is important to use only quality hair products, not necessarily expensive hair products. For years, several of my clients who once had long tresses of hair would come into my salons and ask my stylist how can I restore my hair to it former glory? How can I get rid of my split ends? Or How can I grow longer and thicker hair? The answer would always be the same, treat your hair with respect. It is so easy to pull your hair back and tie it into a knot or to bleach it with chemicals that are so harsh they ruin the very foundation that you are seeking to build upon. Respecting your hair is your prime responsibility if you want to have longer and prettier hair that has shine and bounce like the models on television.

Below are the three best ways to show respect for your hair. These tips have not only worked for my stylist and the high profile celebrities who they must keep looking fabulous, but also for anyone who desires a better head of hair.

Hair Respect Rule #1: Develop a hair care regime. Routine. Routine. Routine. Developing a routine is absolutely essential to restoring your hair to its former glory or to keep your hair looking great. Developing a hair care regime is simple. It just means coming up with a serious of things that your do to your hair on a regular basis. For instance, on Monday’s I wash my hair, on Tuesday’s I check my hair ends for splits, on Wednesday’s I deep condition my hair. If you have busy schedule this will help you out so much. Several of my clients have told me that within in weeks of developing a routine that they notice balding spots, kinks, and tough hair areas get better because of the extra care that their hair was able to receive. If you respect your body then you develop a schedule and make sure that you have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is the same way with your hair. How often have you missed a meal, because you did not schedule out your day. Probably many times. If you do not plan for something to happen then it probably will not.

Hair Respect Rule #2: Respect your scalp. I know that when you look at the hair of models, all that you see is long and flowing hair. However, if the model’s hair is real, then underneath all those wonderful shiny follicles will be a clean and healthy scalp. It’s simple, I would always tell my clients and stylist who I trained to think of hair as a flower that cannot bud or flourish if the roots are in disarray or if the scalp is in poor condition. If you show respect your car you keep it clean, if you respect your house then you keep it clean, if you respect you hair then you will keep it clean from dirt and debris that can cause fungus and bacteria to grow from product buildup. If you respect your hair then you will wash your hair and scalp to remove debris. It is necessary for you to wash your hair at least once per week if you want your hair to flourish. Everyone’s hair grows at different rates based on a series of factors, however you can be assured that your hair growth will be stunted if your scalp is scarred and clogged.

Hair Respect Rule#3: Respect you hair by avoiding harsh chemical products. In today’s marketplace most hair care products, especially shampoos and conditioners are loaded with chemicals like Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, TEA Lauryl Sulfate or chemical treatments like coloring, highlights, & relaxers. These ingredients and treatments help to create instant results, while creating long term damage to your hair and scalp health. That is why whenever possible use organic products. Although, most of my experience was gained while working with clients throughout the United Kingdom, I have used several products from all countries between Paris and Argentina and I recommend using Beauty 4 Ashes GodHead hair care products (www.discoverb4a.com) or Beauty 4 Ashes La Java hair care products because they work. I discovered these products while at a convention in London about two years ago and have been using them on my clients ever since. While there are several natural and organic products on the market, few products work as well as Beauty 4 Ashes because they do not just seek to make your hair look better, but they work to better your scalp health with natural anti-inflammatory ingredients and herbs to help nourish the scalp resulting in longer and faster growing hair. The best part is that you can order these products from anywhere in the world including from the UK or United Kingdom (www.mybeauty4ashes.com), Australia, France to Canada (www.myb4a.com).This brings me to another question that I am always asked. Do the hair care products that you use make a difference. My answer is yes. It is the same as asking the question does the food you eat make a difference. My answer is yes. What you place in your body matters, just as what you place on your hair matters. If you respect your hair then you will use quality products. If you are not into using natural products and must use the chemicals then I recommend using Paul Mitchell, Redken, or Oscar Blandi.

Ayurveda, the ancient science of medicine, has been using herbs to cure hair loss effectively. These herbs are derived from natural plants and are free fron side effects. Some of the herbs that can help combat hair loss and stimulate hair regrowth are discussed in this article. These are proven to be practical, natural, and effective for centuries.
Eclipta Alba (known as Bhringraj in India) is an ancient herb used for health of hair. It prevents baldness and premature graying. Fenugreek, also called Greek hay in English and Methi in India, is another remedy for hair loss. Fenugreek work by increasing the dilation of blood vessels to the scalp which improves blood circulation and nutrient supply to this area. Fenugreek seeds have very beneficial effects on hair growth. It has a unique mix of constituents, which contribute to maintaining healthy-looking hair and a well-nourished scalp.
Emblica Officinalis or Indian Gooseberry is one of the best known natural products for overall health of hair. It enriches hair growth and hair pigmentation. Gooseberry also strengthens roots of hair, maintains color and luster. Eating fresh fruit or applying its paste on hair roots improves hair growth and color. It is popular as Amla in India.
Shikakai is also one of the ayurvedic herb used for its strengthening & conditioning properties on the hair. It controls dandruff, promotes hair growth and strengthens hair roots. It is popularly known as “fruit for the hair” as it has a naturally mild pH, that gently cleans the hair without stripping it of natural oils.
Soap nuts (sapindus mukorossi) herb liquid can actually be used to clean hair in place of your regular shampoo. Popular as Reetha in India, Soap nut is an excellent hair tonic and used as a natural cleanser for washing hair, and forms a rich, natural lather. It is still being used as a naturally produced shampoo by the rural folks in India for washing their hair.
Henna is another excellent herb for the maintenance of healthy hair. Henna or Lawsonia Inermis can enrich, color and enhance overall health of hair. It is a powerful and natural hair conditioner that can help heal the hair shaft by repairing and sealing the cuticle, protecting hair against breakage and loss of shine.
Indian Neem or Azadirachta Indica helps remove dandruff and has a detangling effect on the hair. It possesses antidandruff, antibacterial, anti viral and fungicidal properties and therefore protects or fight with infections of scalp.
Aloe Vera or Barbadensis Miller is considered to be one of the best herb for hair loss. Aloe Vera has anti-inflammatory properties that prevent hair loss and are even beneficial for curing Alopecia. Moreover, the herb is also known to stimulate hair growth.
Herbs contain healing compounds that can help rejuvenate unhealthy hair, restore its shine and balance, and combat hair loss. With these natural and safe alternatives one can not only take care of hair but also keep away from harmful products full of harsh chemicals.

If you’ve decided to go natural, you will probably want to know what’s out there as far as the best black hair products for natural hair.  A new product that store owners are having a hard time keeping on the shelves is the Eco Styler Gel with Olive Oil.  This gel comes in a large container and is great for all hair types, especially natural hair that is short.  Use it on the hair after you’ve done the BC (the big chop), and it is great for wash and wear styles.  It goes on smooth when the hair is soaking wet and gives the hair a finished look with healthy shine.  The gel can also be used on long hair and provides a certain amount of hold, and is great for up-do’s.  The Eco Styler Gel with Olive Oil is a great product for wash and wear styles because it’s quick and easy to maintain.  Cost-wise, it won’t break your pocketbook and does not cost nearly as much as other natural curl enhancers.

I have used Cathy Howes’ UBH Creme Moisturizer formula for many years which is an excellent product for black hair whether natural or relaxed.  On natural hair, it works as a good moisturizer barrier on the hair before you apply the Eco Styler Gel.  It will help keep the hair moisturized and prevent flaking.

I know experts say only to use SULFATE FREE shampoos, but Mane ‘n Tail has worked wonders on my children’s’ hair.  (One child has natural hair and the second is transitioning from relaxer to natural).  Mane ‘n Tail has created volume and softness in their hair, and has the added bonus of really thickening up the hair.  Upon its first use, you will notice a BIG difference in how your hair feels, and it makes your hair more soft and manageable.

Diva Smooth is a new exciting product I stumbled upon and I am thanking God I did.  Whether you are transitioning from a relaxer or curly perm to natural hair and want to use a healthy alternative to perms, Diva Smooth is the product for you.  It is a natural straightening alternative to relaxers that is fully natural and does not change the makeup of the hair chemically.  Upon applying the product to the hair as instructed, following the waiting period and washing and rinsing out, you will notice a difference even while blow drying your hair.  Your hair will be very silky, and then when the flat iron or In-Styler is used, you will have instant silk and will be amazed at how soft and manageable your hair has become.  Your hair will have a healthier gloss and shine, and will look moisturized compared to how your hair looks when you have a relaxer.  Relaxers tend to dry the hair out, but Diva Smooth preserves moisture and locks it in.  If you purchase the coconut serum with your Diva Smooth, it will protect your hair while you are straightening it and give your hair the moisture it needs.  This is a revolutionary product I hope they never stop making.  The only complaint is that so many people want this product that it takes, on the average, 9 to 10 business days to receive it.  However, just be patient; it’s worth the wait!

I purchased the InStyler as a healthy alternative to using the flat-iron.  The InStyler has a ceramic rotating barrel and brush bristles that glide through the hair and calm and smooth the hair as it straightens it.  As a result, you hair has a very straight look, and your ends are kept healthy as compared to how they look when the flat-iron is used which has the potential to instantly fry the hair and causes damage to the ends.   It is easy to use and comes with an instructional DVD and booklet.  It is great for medium to long hair, but can also be used on short hair too.
