This is my first video.This video is about my transition to natural hair. I had my last relaxer in April 2009, so I am 7 months post relaxer. Hair loss is a problem that affects both sexes. It can occur to someone at any age and is caused by various factors. These include diseases such as thyroid and cancer, medications such as those used to treat gouts, depression and heart problems. This problem usually corrects itself when you stop take the medication. In addition, hair loss can occur in a woman after giving birth or when there is hormonal imbalance in the body. In some people, hair loss is usually due to hereditary factors. There are natural remedies that one can use at home in order to address this problem. One however needs to choose the one they are most comfortable with.

For mild cases of hair loss, massage of the scalp is one way of stopping the problem. This is effective because, massaging will help stimulate the flow of blood to the hair follicles. This in turn results in the growth of hair. Use of essential oils to massage the scalp is also advised. The oils also help in stimulating the scalp. Bay, jojoba and lavender are examples of these oils. In cases where hair loss is caused by hormonal imbalances, using herbs can help remedy this. This is done using herbs that contain estrogen. Saw palmetto is an excellent example as it blocks the formation of the type of testosterone that causes hair loss.

A proper diet is also a remedy for hair loss. Your diet should include foods high in protein and low in carbohydrates and unhealthy fats. A proper diet will ensure that your scalp is healthy and your hair looks good. You should also include essential fatty acids to your diet. These will ensure that your follicles stay healthy and there is continual growth of hair. You should also check for iron deficiency which leads to hair loss. Your diet should have the required amounts of iron, vitamins and minerals.

In addition, you can remedy hair loss by using ingredients found at home or in health shops to wash hair or even to apply on the affected areas of the scalp. For example, Aloe Vera extracts can be used to shampoo the hair. This will help in stimulating hair growth. You can also apply ginger to the parts of the scalp that are turning bald. In addition to these remedies, you also need to ensure that you are gentle when combing hair to prevent damaging the scalp.
